i have seen an escort cossie grp A/N shell with v5 and msa logbook etc on ebay, says its motorsport shell, its on a j plate but i have only ever seen k plates that i can remember! Anyone tell me if its legit? I would put up a link but im on my mobile and cant do that with it, shell is on ebay, under cosworth rally car, fully trimmed shell. Thanks

Yes there were J platers. The Ford demo cars were J***BPU and Tony at TurboSystems had a J plate

 

my mate also had a "J" the very first one that came into Nottinghams Ford main dealer,they were dead basic.cloth trim wind up windows,he syill has it to this day only done about 30K

 

I have seen a Ford picture with an H-Plater! Some very early version.

 

Whack the numberplate into one of the free online hpi checkers and it will tell you if its a cosworth logbook or a rs2000 one etc.

Loads of rally car shells rung onto non cosworth logbooks out there!

Funny thing is, I own Jeremy Clarkson's old Escort (K38 FMC) which is supposed to be one of the first 3 off the production line but being as though it is clearly on a K (Nov 1992 to be exact), I guess that's Bollocks.

never seen a greg but i have seen a few hreg, the first and most important escort cosworth rally car old number 1 was h930jhj and was in loads of mags and videos bitd, it became the car that mia bardolet won the taleverna rally giving the escort cos its first rally win in its first rally event, i once was talking to a irish rally driver who said his old man has the car in ireland converted to rhd (bollocks) and knows exactly what he has there
