I normally stick to Chick lit but I'm venturing out to other stuff now. I'm only asking as I need ideas for my Christmas book list. I absolutely love Jane Fallon and Marion Keyes but I've read all they have to offer so I'm looking for something else to capture my imagination!!

Reading this Costa Del Crime for some reason read it many times but bored so may as well read it again. Read this to get a more in depth view to what happens in the area, bit like your daily paper back in England, and peope think the UK is fooked up with crime and other nationatilities although they are from the european union but do jump on the band wagon etc, try living in Spain and see how the Spanish take it.

Superb book mate, you'll enjoy it.

I'm reading 'Living History' which is Hillary Clinton's boigraphy. Maybe not the most interesting read to most on here but something to get my teeth into and I like something that stimulates the mind.

Same here, I've sat on Bobby Robsons autobiography for months before I've actually started reading it.

I love him to bits and when I found out that he's losing his battle against cancer I decided to read his book that I have signed. I remember when he came to Newcastle and the tussles that he had with the Newcastle players so to read it and make my own judgement based on what he has said has really changed my opinion of some of the people in football who I would have held in high regard.

If you like a really good read Claire, you might want to try a title called 'Monster' by Sanyika Shakur aka Kody Scott. It's all about an Amercian Crip - maybe not you cuppa tea at first glance but a really inspiring story that you'll struggle to put down. Tookie's Redemption as already mentioned is in the same vein along with John Simpson's book 'Strange Places, Questionable People'. Superb story.

I love page turners. There's nothing worse than getting to the end of a chapter and thinking..... no it's gone half 12 I should really put this book down!!

Thing is though the book has to grip me in the first few pages or I just get bored!!

Those are the best books, when the give you an insight into their world, and you think shit you lived like that and your still here to tell the tale!!

I remember going to watch Skid Row in concert and watching the video and reading Sebs book afterwards and still thinking, shit how much JD did you really consume lol!!!!!!!

ed macys apache was really good adrenaline pumping action start to finish

'Cocky' - the story about Curtis Warren is a bit of an eye opener as well.

Shame he`s not here now tho, i read redemption and it was good, a bit of boasting in it but a general good story

I like stuff closer to home, like paul ferris etc from areas near where i live, it makes books even more realer than theyare

Saying that i read the krays book in cyprus this year and it was pish, nothing but a boasting pile of shite, theres a kray on every street corner now, just like ferris said in his books, every corner you turn theres a paul ferris waiting to greet you
