Hi all

Does anyone know whether the airbag steering wheel on a small turbo 95 escort is the same type/size as any of the other leather ford wheels,eg 1.8Si, RS2000 etc. Want to put my car back to standard.

I have my small turbo steering wheel and airbag somewhere if you want it.

some of the lower specced escorts did have the same wheel as the esc cos, I got one for mine for a fiver from the scrappy AFTER I paid 80 quid for one lol
so I have a very expensve spare lol

the one I got was from an escort si, but some of the special edition models had them aswell, my dad lhd escort estate in spain has one!
think it's just a cast of trawling scrappys till you hit the jackpot,

I want to put a aftermarket steering wheel on my airbag Escort Cossie, which hub I have to use ?
I have one for a non-airbag Escort, but it doesn't fit until a lot of mods I dont' want to do...

 

You cant actually get a hub/boss for the airbag models from what i was told when i wanted too put my rs steering wheel on my airbag escos, apparantly your only option is to change your colum and ign housing for ones that come from a non airbag escos.

 

you don't have to change the column, you only have to change the alloy steering lock part (it just pushes on)
and you also need the plastic surrounds and bonnet pull cable..
I did this conversion last winter but I went the other way and fitted an airbag wheel.
