If its a wet cell battery full of acid and you roll the car where will all the acid go apart from down your neck ?

If its a gel type sealed battery then go ahead and fit it behind the seat no problem

get a sealed battery box from any motorsport dealers and put a small vent pipe ie washer pipe out through the floor then u can fit gel or wet battery . your better off fitting it behind the seat i have tried both behind the seat and in the boot in my old track mk4 and found that in the boot the length of the power cable ment it lost carge very quickly where as behind the passenger seat it was fine
