Just wondering what your thoughts are so far after getting a chance to really test it? Know most are PS3 owners on here.

First off I was a bit shocked at the guns and maps but now I've got used to them they seem alright. Tompson is very Mp5 like and that disk machine gun is crazy. Not impressed with the hand guns though but hoping the revolver will do damage. Dogs are crazy because even if you kill then they give your position away so you get killed.

Still get campers though, sat down guarding a doorway with a machine gun. Managed to get upto level 22 so far.

 

Ive got it on the 360. Completed it on normal the other day and have started bashing it online. Halo 3 used to be my fav online game but COD 5 is so much better. Proper hard online though as there are some really hardcore people out there, that to me are unbeatable at the mo. Need alot more practice online to get upto scratch.

 

i got it dont think it is as good as number 4 but spose maybe need to get used to it ?

modern guns are way better then the oldies

 

I never bought 4 as i havent had my 360 that long and knew 5 was coming out so didnt bother getting it. Can imagine modern weapons would be more fun though.

 

Totally convinced now that World at war is better than Cod4. I think as some have said it's the whole change thing that people hate in that we had a top game in Modern warfare, very addictive with good weapons and maps which has all changed. The guns in Cod5 are amazing, wasn't sure at first but loving it now especially the silenced MP40, type 100 and the Dp-28 (star trek) gun. The type 100 even without the dot sight kicks arse on free for all. Very fast good power and easy to use. Really loving the guns now and the maps are settling down too, now I now where I'm going as well as some of the hiding places people use.

Dogs are MILES better than helicopters, in fact I won a game of free for all with 30 kills and only 2 deaths because of dogs and I'm average at the game. Bouncing bettys have replaced claymores well, getting kills with grenades now despite them looking weak at first. In fact the only issues with the game is that air strikes and gas wind me up, too intense. Hand guns I've not adjusted to yet but thats all.

Great game, just give it a chance to learn the maps etc. Not put COd4 on since I got it.

As a side note has everyone updated to the new dashboard? Well mad, totally different layout and takes some getting used to but so much better looking, I-phone or I-tunes, layout like somewhat. My avatar bloke looks a right plank but only did it quickly but have to say very impressed, the way you view all the profiles and chats etc is a lot better, 3d like instead of basic pages.

 

I HATE the new dashboard! Welcome to the suck, it couldn't be more gay if it tried. It's like Wii's 'Mii's' but worse.

 

Yeah lots of people are making the Wii comparison but its more than just the avatar its the whole layout change, a lot better IMO. I have a Wii and its very different, Wii environment is flat but this new dashboard is more 3d like as I say.

More bells and whistles than function but looks good I reckon.

 

I'll get used to it I suppose, I'm just not a big fan of change. One thing that's a massive improvement though is the ability to install games on to the HD, no more noise..!! Woo!

 

which console is it better to play on, the PS3 or Xbox360? My bro has both consoles so doesnt matter which I buy him, just cant decide which is easier to use the controls on, any difference in the game playing?

 

I absolutely love the new cod!!

I was the biggest sceptic at 1st but it's grown on me soo much, think the gameplay is brill, tanks are fun, dogs are great (if you have them ). Got a 20 kill streak the other day and thats my best so far. I really like the guns and the extras you can get for them, the apature sights are brill. I have been playing a little bit every night and i'm upto level 24 IIRC, just got the bouncing betty last night. I love the grenades also, especially the sticky ones as you can stilck them to people handgunes are great but you'll never beat a deagle

If you have dogs coming at you and you need to kill them but don't want to show up on the radar knife them Or better still pull the bayonnet out and get them from a distance

The new dashboard looks great although I can see why some people think it's a bit childish/Wii-ish

P.s Since i've had World at War i've not played Modern Warfare once

 

Awesome isn't it. Really into it now and its keeping me off Fifa like COd4 did.

 

I looked into this last night!!! Surley if you can now download games onto your 360 - its just a case of borrowing your mates game for half an hour, downloading it onto your system and returning it to him.......then bobs your uncle, fannys your aunt - you've got a whole new game just shy of £37 less than you would if you had have bought it.

That can't be right.

 

Or you could rent them for £4 loach and then give it back to blockbusters

 

are they not copy protected like their DVD's are?

 

you cant you still have to have the disk in the machine, it just doesnt read from it!

And most new gun's are old guns in a different skin IRL.

Mp40=Mp5
MG42=M60

And so on.

I havent played CoD4 since i got 5 lol. Graphics are really nice, with the lighting effects etc.

The new dashboard is alot better, the themes arent so over powering and isnt dull compared to the last one.
