inlet manifolds
Bear in mind the 4x4 being less restrictive, it will flow more air than the 2wd, which means you will need to alter your map to correct your afr.
I'm sure someone will confirm whether or not this is true.

i am doing the same thing swapping over from a 2wd one to a 4x4 one i believe you can fit a 2wd regulator but it is better to get the lot i.e 4x4 reg,and fuel rail etc!i was also thinking of fitting a 14mm spacer!but my power goal is 380-390 so not to sure if needed?
The 2wd and 4wd regs are totally different, they will not interchange as the 4wd bolts on and the 2wd is secured by bracket and pipe.
The whole rail goes on no problem with correct fuel reg though.
The spacer is and issue depending on which cams you use, as it will restrict the power if you don't have enough volume and wild cams, why swedish plenums do so well, not the shape but the volume.

was going to stay on standard cams so will this be no good for what im looking at was hoping for as close to 4oo bhp as poss with using t34 with 55 housing.if thats the case will it be just as good using the spacer on a 2wd manifold cheers
is the head standard?
you might be better suited to a t34.63, or maybe go t38 route
dont get me wrong; you could probably make 400hp; but how long the turbo will last is a different matter - i suspect you'd be ringing the turbo's neck to get that power
mine used to be a t34.55 on a standard head and i was at around 365-370hp - it makes for an awesome road car
why do you want 400? dont chase numbers; i'd rather have a car with 370hp and it drive nice compared to a 400hp car that drove horrible
i know what your saying m8 just thought about as close to 400 but 370 will be good also do you know if the trumpets are the same for a 2wd and 4wd inlet manifolds cause if they was wouldnt need to take off inlet just switch covers as ive recently fitted a new gasket and its fine cheers in advance.also is the a difference in the throtle body between the two cheers

throttle body is the same and no need to change the trumpets!
so what is the difference between the two covers then and is there any thing else that can be done to it .also st escos inlet is suposed to be even better is this true but it need to be adapted cheers
but yeah; the escos small turbo one is the best of all the standard inlets; but they are hard to get hold of and expensive

at mo im running t34.55 running usual stg3 like 3bar,greens etc but im also looking to upgrade to 4x4 inlet and gonna run greys and re-chip on mine in new year so should see a good 370-80 you reckon?
Mine runs a 4x4 inlet, T34.55 and light blues and made just over 370bhp on a DD RR peaking at just 25psi.
Steve.
you can put a 2wd fuel reg and rail on a 4wd but you will have to have a lug welded on as i did . if you look at the photo you can see the lug at the front for the 4x4 rail which i left on just in case and you can just see the new lug that i had welded on hope this helps
just removed my 2wd one tonight i would say the 4x4 one is about 3/4mm deeper but the main difference is how restrictive the 2wd throttle elbow is compared to the 4x4 one!no wonder the 2wd inlets struggle above 350 odd bhp!
the 4x4 one is the one on top
