hi how do i get the conrod of the piston someone told me to use warm water but not sure if that work any help would be great?

the gudgeon pin needs to be pressed out.

thats what i thought but guy said thats how you do it and that is from a rs breakers lol

no it doesnt need to be pressed out - it needs heating by a machine shop and often involves scrapping the piston.

Heating them up doesnt work because the two expand together and you get nowhere!

They can only be pressed out and yes the pistons do get scrapped unless you know someone who has a custom jig, but even then the gugeon pin can get scored.

Machine shops nornmally charge bout £7 to remove one and put a new one back on.

cheers for help guys stupid thing is only bought piston so the car can drive 15 miles to its new owner guy knows engine is fucked all this for 650 quid bloody fords lol
