so finaly here's my serie's 2 at pf.
i bought the car in 2006 and had a lot of fun with it sinds.
now i'm prepairing an other rst engine wich i also had for an enige swap sind the rst engine wich is in it at the moment is running at his end.
so i hope i can keep you guys updated whit this project.

so here's the first update.
today i began to clean the rockercover and chargecarier and spayed them in primer.
hopefully i can show you at the and of the week how they look when there finished.

here's how the look so far.

front bumper is rare as fook isnt it

i beleave its the same as the one's used on the 4x4 s2 turbo

i bought it with the blowoff valve like this.
when the other engine is ready for it's swap, the blowoff valve is going to be at the hose to the chargecarier. i also don't like it like the way it is now.

and about the front bumper. i dont know if it's from a 4x4 s2.
all i know is that it's from suhe. i thought it's an german brand????

The prototype s2 used a 3door bottom of bumper grafted on to the s2 bumper

 

alright guys. time for an update.
ive got the charge carier almost finished. i've just put on some detailwork and i'm pretty pleased with the result. just need some blank lacker and then it's completly finished.

the rocker cover is coming on nicely to.
i'll show an pic when i've put the detailwork on that one.

don't mean to be negative but your gonna regret painting them white, what else you got planned?

 

i had the same thought in mind but i'm willing to take that risk. if it wil turn out keep getting dirty i'll paint them another color.
i just wanted to have someting different them what everybody else have.
so i do hope they stay clean. lol

other plans are never sure. i've got more project's waiting like mine mk3 xr3i cabrio. that one wil be an rs turbo as well. i'll hope to start that project next summer.

i've read this thread and i can't realy say that the front bumpers lookalike.
maybe a little bit with the hole's on both sides at the bottem but that's all realy.

cant realy say i like the bumper either. it's kind of strange looking with the thick top bar. cant be any good for the cooling system either.
but hey, that's just my opinion.

arn't there any uk rst's with a front bumper like mine???

i don't think it's an geniune ford item. i believe it's from a german manufacter named SUHE but i'm not sure.

update time.

been busy with the gearbox. took the abs system off and gave it a new coat of alu paint.
also got my new clutch from national sports so hope this one wil last a little bit longer than the last one. that was an original clutch from LUK. lasted only for 9 months lol.

and today arived the rubber cockercover gasked.
i hope with this one the engine bay will stay a bit cleaner.

bout time for an update.

got me some parts for the rs.

got a nearly new complete set of sfs silicon's with ss klampband's
also got my first e-bay buy yesterday. an oil catch tank.
and look what i found in my garage. i totaly forgot that i have it.
a 4 spoke rs steeringwheel.

i'm stil cleaning and painting some parts and there will be an update of that soon. but first some pic's of this update.

@ graig: there are a few here in holland with a bumper like mine( check the pics a few reply's earlier. and that dumpvalve fitting is also used on a few cars here. i bought it with this dv fitting but i dont like it. so it's going to be differrent. keep an eye on this thread to see what it will be

i also got myself a new bailey turbo oil filter. hope it will enlarge the lifetime of my turbo.

hey guys.
it's been a while sinds my last update becouse a just bought my first house with a nice big garage, i;m still working on my house and hope it wil be finished and of this summer so i can start on the rst again.

i have allready start with stripping down the rst a little bit.

i also got a hold of some 16 inches comp's wich i was looking for.
somewhere tis project they will be blasted and get some fresh white paint.

i just have to be a little bit patiance but as soon as my house is finished i can get crakking on the rst again so i hope i can overwhelm you with updates as soon as the summer end.
