i've read verious articles and there seems to be differences in opions

some say

with bar = lsd

without bar = non lsd

others say

with bar = no lsd

without bar = lsd

i've now broken 4 - 5 xr3i cabs and got about 4 gearboxs laying around so need to check what kind of boxs they are as 1 - 2 of them came outta turbos ( thought all turbos came with lsd )

if the hole is the size of a 5p with no bar its an lsd

if it has a bar across a bigger hole its a shitter

 

there is no difference of opinion as far as i'm aware!
diagonal rod through the diff casing means NO lsd.
No diagonal bar means it has an lsd!
ALL Escort RST's came with an lsd box as standard!!!

Jack it up, turn a wheel if the other wheel goes the opposite way its lsd.

 

I thought that if the wheel goes the same way then its LSD. and make sure its outta gear when ya test it!


Doesnt make any difference here anyway as the boxes are out of the car anyway!
