can i use them? or must i use cams for solid lifters?

you can but its not ideal,

proper solid spec cams are the way to go

You can use solids but You lose 0,2-0,25mm lift (clearence) and also quit many degrees of open time.

Mine will rev to 7.5 with solid lifter version - maybe more but I dont want to overdo it.

i rev to 7800 on hydraulics,

solids are capable of up to 10000 rpm, like karls motor

Although not ideal on solids as you lose a little bit of duration and lift from the needed clearance, at the END of a track session, you'll have more lift than on a set of hydraulics I suspect!
