heater trouble!

Default heater trouble!

my heaters are not blowing out warm air, got told that a clip had broken off the back off the controls. a friend of mine says that the clip is a discontinued part from ford. has any1 or does any1 have the same problem? and does any1 know how to adress the problem?
any help would be appreciated guys!

if ya look down the pasenger side,u will see the cable and lever tht operate the heaters,turn the dial see if its operating the flap,i got some spare bits if u need any

If the controls are working and its not a broken clip then make sure you check your Thermostat as that is then the likely problem

even if the stat is completey wankered, they should still blow out hot air when the engine is very hot.

Could be the matrix full of shite, low water level, air lock?

is there a bleed valve to get rid of air lock? or is there a certain way off doing it?
my heaters will work every so often, and when they do it isnt for long. i can get them to work for a while by turning the knob to cold then to warm again and it sometimes works.

no bleed screw,take cap off and leave it running with the heaters on full,un till the fan comes on,sounds like its blocked by tht tho

back in the day i bought a £200 2.0ltr sierra for a ripper which had the same problem. I took both hoses of the matrix and squirted sum Cillit Bang....thats right....Cillit Bang into the matrix,left it there for a few mins then blasted it out with the hose pipe. Worked a treat!! lol
