Does anybody know how many L redg sapp cossie 4x4 are about ??

 

I think there was about 8 made, all noveau red

 

I saw one earlier this year, it looked odd. Not seen a red saff before!

 

And need Catalyst for MoT I suppose... doh!

 

There is a factory black saph in our club L reg

 

i've seen a radiant red L plate

 

used to be a l reg white one in dundee,how can you say only 8 lreg,s made tiff when most where old stock

i remember seeing an L plater at Beaulie RS meet this year, parked up close to the burger van area think it may of been white?

Police up here had sh!t loads of em on L plates,just old stock theres still a canny few about.

My old man was a director for ford in the early nineties, he tracked cars the cars after my request ( using VIN numbers) The police did order a load of white motorsport shells on an L plate, but dont register under cossie VINs due to the production shell, however, the order was reduced due to the production of the cavalier turbo. There is 1 L reg police car out there with factory shell and even got elec sunroof and air con, finished in moondust. There is believed to be 15 L plate cossies, prodomantly radiant red (not nouv or magenta) the same colour as red escort Rs turbos. But not all L plates were red. If you own a radiant red L plate, that got full spec and been looked after, you would get good money through the RSOC, infact I know of a K plate radiant go for 8.5K last year. All Lreg cars were held back by dealers or not registered till after 1st Sept 1993, but are still same 92 spec motor with the exception of a few which had drivers air bag.

Mate, just be careful it aint a ex police car mate! no sunroof and it will have dark grey trim with light grey door cards. unless its all been changed of course...

Had one here in perth a few years back,moondust silver reg. no. was L 123 tds.
