Im confused of my on knowledge.

Which engine oil is more ticker than the other when the engine is warm?

5W-30 or 5W-50.

Both is fully synthetic.

5-30 is the thinner of the two, should be using a 50 in a CVH mate.

thanks Karlos. I have been using a 40 now and my tappets is gone now. One by one there bieng ticking now.

Thinking of getting a 60 fully now to my engine.

60 is too thick unless you are only track use IMO.

oil is a tricky subject i been using 10/40 full syn for years never had a prob

Im using Mobil 1 Motorsport 15w-50, no probs at all, good stuff if you like to give the motor some shit!

Totally agree i use vauxhall 10-40 semi, never had a prob quite as a mouse

is all down to taste with oils,always used 10/40
b/t/w the first number is thickness wen warm and other when cold

its the other way around,first figure is the cold value (W means winter) second figure is when warm
