Redline Tuning Basildon Essex
Any one have any experience with these guys?
When i next get my car setup i'd like to go there as they are only 45mins away unlike TOTD which took 2 1/2 hours to get to!
Or any other recommendations in the essex suffolk area?

I spoke to them once. The particular person I spoke to appeared to be a complete wanker. Have no intention of going there, or speaking to them again.
The only people in Essex i'd use for RS tuning are Grove Garage.

I hear the owner can be a bit 'up front' and doesnt spend time talking to people with no knowledge. I assume this is because he doesnt get paid to be a tutor for all car building newbies. Bills to pay and all that!
If you can get over the mood stuff I hear good things from them. Has alot of old skoll carb experience and mapping skills but not to sure on his engine knowledge.
Put it this way I fully plan to take my daily driver S2 along when the new motor is run in for a full set up.

has to be said i'd use grove mark did totaly transformed my car, but TOTD did the bollocks of a job on my mates s1 hes taken a few cars there now, chris todd knows his shit, and they have a rolling road
never herd of readline but there are many companies doing that sort thing around this way( track and road, moets,TDI etc etc) just because they dont advertise don't mean they don't do a good job

Ive heard of Rallye tech but havent heard any reports of what they're like at all. Would be handy for me as im only in heybridge so not far at all. Only other ones real local to me are Field motorsport in woodham but they dont have a rolling road, or engine advantages in witham, although u hear alot of bad stuff about there, but guess all places will have good and bad experiences from people.
Anyone used this rallye tech in boreham?

Cheers for your input fella's!
I think its a toss up between GG and APT (had fogotten about them), GG is the easier drive so will probably go there.
TOTD were spot on. and your right Chris really does know his stuff, just was a really long drive what with being stuck on M25 etc..!
Thanks again!

i used Rallytech after hearing good reports from a few mates with turbos etc and being in a couple of cars he had built. i only had the car set up and he done agreat job and was enthusiastic and was no prob giving advise.
This may seem like a stupid question as they are RS/Cosworth specialists but I take it GG do have a rolling road?
It says on their website "We do not believe in rolling roads - every single tune and chip/mapping session we perform is done out on the road, in a real-world environment. "
MFI RS Turbos cant be live mapped, and how would you get a Torque or BHP figure?

must admit only ever heard good reports from Grove garage
Karlos couldnt help to see your sig says 182bhp @ 10psi dont you mean to say at 17psi like your graph says

My 187ftlb of torque is made @ 17psi @ 4000rpm as you can see on the graph also
All things going well (which they usually dont when it comes to RS's) when i fit my new Stage 2 turbo and am holding 17psi right to the limiter i'll be making 210-220bhp, at least that what Chris at TOTD predicts, i'm hoping he's right!

I want to use them but also want to know what BHP and Torque i'm running.
Might pay Christian a visit at APT, just shitty drive from where i am, the A140 is always busy as is Norwich city centre, a good 2 hour drive

its only a print out at the end of the day.i know what i would want at the end of the day
think it was about Ł150 ish i no it was more than engine advantages charged me previously. he also doesent like to use rolling roads as he said to me that it puts excess strain on engine and drivetrain.he has access to rolling road next door. he has a s2 rallye car of his own wich he used to race but now just sits there.
