Focus RS, phase 1 or 2 ????
yes but not all phase 2 have the extra stitching, someone told me the writing around the engine start button is different, on phase 2 it says engine start and phase 1 it says push button to start, do you know if this is correct ???
Phase 1 & 2 is a load of bollocks i'm afraid
The whole phase 1 & 2 crap was created by one of the tuning mags & then also embellished upon by Evo mag when they did a buying feature & they had to figure out how to explain some of the things like the stitched seats, pink throttle gromet, AE & AF ecu maps, etc & decided that "phase 1" & "phase 2" was the easiest way of doing it
Of course what the mags didnt mention is that all these things like the seat bases, pink throttle gromet, AE & AF ecu maps, etc were all retrofittable via local Ford dealer during the time the car was for sale so technically loads of the 1st registered FRS off the production line will now have the so called "phase 2" items on
Just consider that the AE ecu map was the first ecu map released by Ford on the FRS - a year later they developed the AF map to cure some probs they found on AE & as soon as any car on AE was taken into a dealer for a service, warranty work, etc, they flashed the AF map onto the ecu as an upgrade
Therefore a so called "phase 1" car would now have the "phase 2" ecu map on it
As said Phase 1 & 2 does not exist
By on condition of the car & history not the sales speil created in error by the mags
