Default FAO MartinH, Garage19 etc, Wastegate position

While finding my thread from XMAS about my nova, I noticed again that you two had been discussing the wastegate take off.

Looks like it will be fun when done

As you know, the problem with waste gate exit is to get it to flow well in both directions with out one impeding the other too much.

Toughest test will be when Chip is running 0.7bar to run in.

I have done a quick MS paint drawing to better show the actual angle/take off from above.

Just a quick note to say that now ive finished with running it in, I can confirm that it holds the 0.7 bar spring pressure perfectly right up to the rev limiter without any fluctuations at all.

So a big thankyou once again to Doug for making it

Great news.

So are you giving it some stick now?

Time to swap over to the other ECU?

Thats the problem with siting wastegates. Its always a balancing act between ultimate flow and controling boost.

Ive not run it on more than 0.7 bar yet, but have driven it hard at that level.

Just need to get an MOT on it, then swap onto the autronic, and im ready to start mapping it up for a decent amount of boost at last, although Ive still got a couple of changes to the suspension I want to make first to make it stronger.
