Dont think there is a "best oil" but i ran mine on castrol rs 10/60 now its called castrol edge sport ,i think???????? also mobil 1 15 /50 is very good .. lots of other people use other brands but you wont go far wrong with either i have said

oh i forget,fully or semi synthectic?

 

genuine vauxhall oil is my choice,never had a problem with it in my group A escort cosworths but the castrol/mobil 1 makes the top end very noisey when engine is red hot,if its tapping loud it does make you wonder how effective the oil is.

 

I used Texaco Havoline 10/40 in all of mine with no oil related issues.

yep i use this... does seem quieter that castrol or mobil..... seems a good oil!

 

does anyone use vauxhall 5/40 fully syn in their cossies???
