Is it possible?
Is it possible that a hydralic lifter can brake just after 100 miles. They are manufactered by Kent cams and I fitted them after yours advise.
One lifter tickes over 2500 rev.
Maybe the standard Fords lifters are better?

Ok, thanks for the fun answere.
Im thinking of fitting solids then. Im sick and tired of this f--ing ticking all the time.
Do you adjust the solid lifters when the engine is hot or cold?

....and to add to this, they are a bastard to adjust. Anyone that says they are a 'piece of piss' probably isn't doing them right if you ask me.
In my experience the followers are at their noisiest at low load. They will be excessively noisy if they are poorly adjusted.
The reality is that in the CVH engine, you need to adjust these meticulously and check them a couple of times during the first few hundred miles. If the gaps change any more than a tiny amount, the cam will probably self-destruct. It's that simple.
Newman is certainly the best of whats available, but unfortunately not an absolutely guaranteed solution.
