The reality is that in the CVH engine, you need to adjust these meticulously and check them a couple of times during the first few hundred miles. If the gaps change any more than a tiny amount, the cam will probably self-destruct. It's that simple.
Newman is certainly the best of whats available, but unfortunately not an absolutely guaranteed solution.
....and to add to this, they are a bastard to adjust. Anyone that says they are a 'piece of piss' probably isn't doing them right if you ask me.
