i got a j reg fiesta turbo last year for 200 quid needed an engine mount a bottom end the rear quarter resprayed and a patch of welding on the floor its possible to find a bargain but good luck anyway

If you need to ask the internet what to do with your 500 notes, then the best advise will be put in the bank until you figured out by yourself what you really need and want.

£500 may be better spent on making sure it is reliable/safe and in good working order rather than going faster.

why not spend 500 on it getting set up properly first then you wont have to spend another 500+ rebuilding it

get some pics and a spec up then we`ll all be able to advise better. I`d personally spend it on getting the engine running properly and fixing any little bits up first,

has a but of rust but not much

am getting it set up in 2 weeks

As you have just bought the car, i would spend 500 quid on replacing all belts, filters, plugs, rewire fuel pump etc, checkout stu's article on rs turbo common failures!

+1 for making it more reliable and sorting out any niggly bits and giving it a service.

With that spec though, performance wise, if you haven't got a T3 and uprated cooler, I'd probably look at those.
