bit of a newb question, tried google but it came up cconflicting,

the car would be trailered to any track day, do they all insist that you have a MOT cert for the car?

also read something that it does not need to be road legal if it can pass MSA scrutineering, anyone have guidelines on this?

just been to one the weekend gone. No need for road legal car it only needs to pass noise regs of the track, just take your full driving licence and your away.

In all the years ive been doing it, ive never been asked for an MOT, cos quite a few of the cars are ex-race cars, hence wouldnt have them anyway!

The only track where ive ever seen any form of scruitineering was castle combe, but thats a quick look over to make sure it aint falling apart LOL

Vehicle Requirements

The vehicle you intend to use must be in good condition both mechanically and bodily and suitable for its intended use on the track. It is your duty to ensure that the vehicle remains in this condition for the duration of the activity, in the interests of your safety and the safety of others at the circuit.

ring them and ask.

there's a difference between a track car on slicks thats not road legal, and a shed that won't pass an MOT because it's dangerous... lol

yeah i will ring each one, and i do understand that difference, kind of where i was coming from, as im sure that the car will pass an MOT when it is ready, but as were not going to be using it on the road, then dont really want to get it done, as it involves trailering etc,

tho for 50quid it might still be worth it!

another question :P

who do people book there track days with?

sorry for the newb questions, but my searchin isnt turning much up!
