Default Fiesta turbo edis probs

Hi i have just put a fiesta turbo engine into a mk6 escort i have got the starter motor turning over and i can get the fuel pump to run but i cant get a spark!!!! i've done a continuity check on all the wires to the coil cps and edis modual and all are good i've got a live(+12v) while cranking to the coilpack and edis but still no spark.
How can i check the edis module?????
Any tips or advise much appreciated.
Phil

The only reasons you won't have spark are :-

- Duff EDIS module
- Duff Crank sensor
- Duff Coil
- Duff wiring between any of those items

You don't even need a working ECU to get spark!

i understand that you don't need a ecu to generate spark what should i be getting on the coil plug i have a live on the centre pin(2) and earth pulses on the coil to pins(1&3) when cranking is this correct if so i must have a duff coil pack or shagged leads the plugs are brand new.

Got this running today. Supply to the coil was shit would show +12v while cranking unplugged but when you plug the coil in and tested the voltage it would drop to +8v no good!!!! run a new supply to the coil via a relay and it fired up first turn thanks for the replies.
