Exclamation Blue Smoke??!!

I only rebuilt my engine its an efi conversion ran with omex. has been running a bit hot im only driving 2 or 3 weeks.. when im driving ther is no smoke whatsoever but its when the revs get low a big puff of blue smoke comes out..the fella that tuned it for me said that when its idle it gets a bit smokey but that its only the turbo cos its been lying up for a few years but it seems to be getting worse.. Am I right in saying that its the piston rings ONLY when blue smoke comes out while accelerating and not idle?? or could it be somethin to do with the head? please help

mine did this about a year ago. it was the valve stem seals that were knackered.

If its piston rings it will smoke all the time but more so under load, i would go with turbo oil seal too mate.

my one is bad on start up i'm going to change my valve stem oil seals as my car has been lying for aprox 3 years, and i believe they get 'bad' (ithink they get brittle/brake up through age)if left lying for a while

You dont need to take the head off to do the stem seals. but if your wanting a better cam then thats prob the time to change it.

mine would start belching smoke at traffic lights after idleing for a minute or two but not on start up or accelerating. turned out to be the turbo seals.
