You will need some kind of oil restrictor fitted, unless the turbo housing has an inbuilt one, my mates Pulsar gt3071r has one integrated in the turbo casing.

Hi crazy cage can hoping for your help here. When you ran a gt turbo on your cvh what restrictor size did you use?

I have just fitted a gt28rs and don't want to starv it off oil. Turbo dynamics said to use a 1mm restrictor without even asking what my oil pressure was. As you know cvh only has about 3 bar hot under full load. So do you even need one?? Only concern is cold start up

Thanks for reply. Did you see what pressure the turbo was getting with a 1mm restrictor?

Am not sure but it smoked without it fitted, they have roller bearing or something so don't need much oil

And how many people are going to be able to fit a pressure gauge, AFTER the restrictor which is built into the oil inlet on the turbo core ?

None.

BB turbos do not need a lot of oil.
