I have just got a escort 55 van, I got it as a non runner as i already had a full engine he told me he thinks "FUEL PUMP /SOLENOID CUT OFF PROBLEM SUSPECT PUMP FAILURE" Is there any way i can check and do you think it could be anything els? Also do you have to bleed the fuel system when its ran out of diesel?
Any thing is worth a try before i take the engine out.

is there a pump in the tank or is it just the one on the engine?
