Default No boost... HELP!!!

I was just driving home and lost all boost it was fine 1 minute then fcuked the next. Now the car sounds like crap and the turbo dosnt sound like its even spinning and the boost gauge wont go above 0 psi. Any ideas???

boost leak, timing might have slipped, withthe boost gauge not going above 0 i'd primarily say boost leak. does the car idle?

Yeah car idles just wont come on boost. Just had a look for boost leak defo not that. A mate suggested map sensor prob the cause but unsure till hes looked at it properly.

check your spark plugs, happened in my s2
changed plugs problem was solved.

Nothing to do with the 'Map' sensor mate, the ECU only adjusts the timing based on the 'Map', wouldnt affect your boost at all.

Could be the turbo shaft has got stuck, remove the boost pipe and make sure it moves freely! I had this happen on a turbo that had so much play in the shaft it would get stuck!

Sounds to me as if the actuator rods popped of and the wastegate staying open or something is amiss with the turbo itself.

I would think by the sound of things its more likekly to be the actuator rod popped off. They often lose the securing clip and fall off causing the symptoms your having.

agreed with the above.

Wouldnt be ur plugs as it will then run on low idail. so i would check the turbo shaft and also the actuator rod

Infact answer me a quick question bro!

When driving the car does it sound as if its lagging real bad, such as pop bang when hy rev?

No boost wouldnt be as above my post or ur timming as that effects the boost if out
