whats needed? the mk5 has power steering etc.... i will be going for mfi unless i find someone selling cossie managment, but i need to know what else i need to complete the conversion, can i use the same part of the loom that the xr2 boys use to convert to turbo? what about power steering pump? intercooler, rad etc??????? any help is much appriciated

if its a mk 5 cvh then you can hold your PAS intercooler and rad i dont know.
for the loom if you go mfi its useless i think or needs lots of cutting as its for efi

i've just done a mk6 escort and used a fiesta turbo engine (efi) if your car is a zetec you need to check the gearbox you will need a gear box with a front mounted starter as the zetec box has a rear mounted starter and hits the oil filter on the cvh. i used the fiesta turbo rad and an escort rs turbo intercooler and pipes. Efi conversion is a piece of piss only 7 wires to connect into your standard loom if you have a fiesta rs engine loom. MFI will be alittle more tricky as you will have to mount the metering head fuel filter and run an escort rs turbo fuel pump as they rely on higher fuel pressure than the efi. If your car is already a cvh keep hold of your power steering pump as it will fit on the rst lump i think the earlier heads(mfi) will need to be drilled and taped to take the pump( i think don't quote me on it) i also converted my engine to a T3 turbo and used an escort down pipe and used an uprated escort cossie in tank pump. if you need any help pm me.
