Default bottom end

hi all ive just rebuilt my bottom end ansd got a few queries, first of all the end caps dont line up perfect there about 2mm out at the end is this a problem? also i have built it up and it turn but you have to use stillsons to turn the crank is this ok?

been back to lockside who supplied the shells and theyve gave me the newer shells, so oreded the other ones so all should be ok now

Everytime you install/tighten a main or big end cap you should rotate the engine a couple of revolutions. If there is any unsual tightness then the last bearing that was tightned has a problem and needs checking. The engine will get slightly harder to turn the more bearings are tightned down and the more pistons installed.

i did turn it mate turn fine just when i put my pistons in it got realy tight and i was unsure about the shells so took it back and they are wrong ones, with just the crank in you can turn it by hand
