Would a crap earth on a battery make it drain over a few days??

Default Would a crap earth on a battery make it drain over a few days??

The battery on my transit always drains itself if left for over 3 days......could this be caused by a shit earth from the battery????

Unlikely. Perhaps the battery is just knackered? Or a courtesy light or something is sticking on?

i have exactly the same thing at the mo on a old tranny i have,its doing my head in, i treated it to a mint used battery that cost a fiver, if i disconnect it it holds its charge and will start no probs,if left connected it drains and makes a loud clicking after about 3 days too,mines a smiley front

My transit is a Y Plate....2000 model....

No interiour lights stay on ect ect....there is a drain from something, but cant find what.

Just use a multimeter and disconnect each fuse in turn.

Diode pack in the alternator are common on the Smileys.

mates van had a iffy starter motor, started fine sine he got a new one.
