Default gt series turbo

ive got one to replace my old t34 got it all fitted but it doesn't have a vac nipple on it ! my boost controller has one to the actuator and one to the turbo so could the one to the turbo go to the inlet instead?? or do i need to drill and tap the comp housing ??
