Default Help VW Peeps

Right i've got a Polo GTI 6N2 and it's been stood since April doing nothing, so i now want it back on the road. Because its been sitting so long the Battery's died so i've changed the Battery, plugs, coil and Leads but still the car won't fire into life! basically if i leave it for 10/15 mins and then turn the key to the position that the fuel pump primes, wait for the buzzing to stop and then attempt fo fire the engine it starts and revs to 3k then just dies, if i try and start it again all thet happen is the starter motor turning the engine over but nothing else! any ideas? should i change the fuel filter? i just want to start using it now and has never missed a beat in 2 years! help!

Ive had a Corrado G60 stood in the corner of the garage for nearly 2 years now ....Just got round to getting it fixed and running over the weekend and just got it taxed and tested and had a run out in it tonight ......Forgot how much fun it was....lol

Id check the fuel pump is still running ok if not try the fillter as if its been stood low on fuel it could have pulled a load of crap though from the tank...

Had the same issue on mine and it turned out to be the alarm. Just kept cutting out after a min of so.

Now its all up a running, gave it a run in and service and made sure it perfect. Now I just got to work out what I want to do with it. Does anyone know of any modifications you can do to them without changing the engine? Or where you can get the parts from...

Checked the internet and there is not about...

thanks guys - bbspolo has kindly offered to come along with the diagnostic machine which is much appreciated!

I dunno what you want looks wise but i've got Porsche 7*16 and 8*16 inch design 90's (ebay) with adaptors (Gwent VW), FK Coilovers (Venom) and some Porsche 997 Turbo brakes (ebay - not put on yet need to get discs and adaptor mounts!) i'll get some pics up once i get it cleaned!
