when you watch "normal" telly and then switch over to watch a HD channel, does the sound drop noticeably?

Mine does.....it is running through a surround sound amp......that may be the cause

Can be annoying........And the fact that it doesnt change the channel onto the sky one as it isnt on a scart ead...
