just had a high lift cam fitted ...was fine driving all the way home!

parked up for about 20mins engine off! then got back in drove to get some new tyres and it was rattling like foook! any ideas?

 

i believe you are supposed to run in a new cam, as it will need to work harden and normally an oil change should be done. What sort of rattle is it? Engine speed etc would probably need to here it to say what it is?

 

was ran in! oil change was done!

its a rattle...like tappets! got a feeling it just needs to settle down a bit!

 

The cam and all the new bits (if you purchased a kit) should be thoroughly smeared in with a special cam lub. When you fire up the engine, the revs shall be kept at 2500 for 20 min.

 

was fitted by a company! one off here! been trying to get hold of them but no answer as yet!
