Canister Purge on 4x4 wiring loom?
what the hell is it? cheers i have a loom plug for it! its not the rubber bush thing with two wires that pipes up to the abs by any chance is it? the plugs do fit together, it sits on the passenger chassis leg under the header tank?

its for the green top 4x4 engines. The fuel tanks are not vented to atmosphere on that version, instead the fumes go through a carbon cannister to neutralise them and that plug goes to a solenoid which opens the vent to the cannister
thanks for your replys is the soliniod the rubber thing siting on the passenger chassis leg by the abs, my cars a escort cosworth, if it is i may as well plug it in as ive got it on my new 4x4 saph loom? perhaps
can someone plz describe what the electric soliniod looks like and where it positioned! i may not need it, but i need to make sure it is what i think it is, as i have done some major car loom alterations, and i'm concerned that i may have cut out a abs sensor, but now im convinced its just canister purge that i cut off the old loom, but i need to be sure before i put all the interior back in!
cheers

it's a little black blob with some vac pipes coming to and from it with a set of wires in it as well
it's all hooked up to the fuel tank or soemthing so when it needs to it releases the vapour either in or out
it's all for the emissions gubbins, i've got a diagram at home if you don't get any luck with colorus and stuff on it
