on the news today the government has reclassified certain ships as "floating platforms" so they can make them pay tax!!
I wonder how long until the rest of the merchant navy is hit by this??

now im sure we all realise the government is doing this for genuine reasons!! Not like theyd do it to make more money!!!

This can suck my balls
If I'm out of the country I'm out of the country
Luckily, this only applies to oil rig supply ships, as they're never really outside UK territorial waters. When I'm outside the 12 miles I'm in the gulf or something
I actually started out on Supply boats. It was fucking awful!!! I even did 3 days on a stand by boat once. What a fooking joke that was!!!!!!!!!!
I got fleas from the bed, and the last guy had taken a crap in the corner of the cabin

They did this to all the semisubmersible oil rigs a few years ago as they are connected to the sea bed ay anchors
.
The other good one is even if you dont stay in the uk but work here you still have to pay national insurance as were taking minerals out of uk ground by drilling in the north sea...
