I used to have a 1.9cvh turbo in my mk6 van, The drivers side engine mount will need to be modified but then it will drop straight in. I would definatly go for EFI fiesta turbo management. MFI can be a nightmare.

Why on earth would you want to do it ????

You're saving the worst bit of a cvh engine, bolting it to the top of a 16 valve Zetec and then taking out the original 150 bhp 16 valve twin cam.

Turbo the original engine or even the 2.3 version but keep the zvh in the shed.

the rs2000 in indeed a chain, they can snap but its very rare. most can cover well over 120k miles on the same chain altough its advised to change at 80k
the rs1800 is a zetec and we all know about the dodgey timing belt tesioner's on those dont we?
im sure every single one of us here know of at 1thats snapped.
the rs2000 i4 lump is pretty much bullet proof. mine regulary goes to 7000rpm, most days infact. has coverd 96k now with only a wheel bearing going from time to time

yea best keep the engine in it now,
the timing chain snapped on last owner and was told it was fully rebuilt not sure how true that was, sound sweet, no old leaks plus it dont ever use oil unlike the old cossie lol.

you can get cams but to be honest the rsk2 peaks quite high up the rev range, mine peaks at 5800rpm, they are useless below 3.5krpm so getting a set of wilder cam shafts would be a waste on a road car. there is going to be a group buy for a throttle body inlet as there isnt an off the shelf item for the 2k, get your self on www.rs2000-16v.com for loads of info.
there isnt much availble for the i4 really mate. the ports on the head are totaly different from the zetecs and so on so parts are difficult to source. theres a few i4 turbos knocking around, even a supercharged one which is awsome. the 2.3 conversion is getting quite popular and fairly cheap. it wont give you a huge rise in bhp but the torque figures rise quite abit, the standard 2.0 dont wake up until your above 3500rpm where as the 2.3 pulls hard from 1500rpm. hope this helps

cheers mate yea that was a great help, so what your saying is that the car was pretty much fully tuned from standard.
If i was to put throttle bodys what sort of power increase would i get ?

not sure on gains tbh, quite a few peeps are going down the megasquirt route, still work in progress, a couple of people recently have upgraded the standard t/b for a mustang 57mm item and are reporting good things, jump on that site and have a look, theres loads in there for the 2k owner. wouldnt be without it. loads of group buys and stuff, theres not alot of intrest in the 2k really which is a shame so its nice there is a network of people who are constantly developing the car.
