Default those new speed cameras..

have you seen the new ones, were they communicate with each other over distances of 30 miles, so if you get from camera A to camera B, which could be miles and miles away, quicker than driving at the speed limit would actually take, you`re gonna get done..

Have them on a 20+ mile stretch of road near to me. I only know one person thats been done by them.

Furthermore... apparently by switching lanes between each set of cameras, they dont pick up on you? Also.... by stopping on the stretch of road if you have being going a bit fast, it averages out your average speed between the sets of cameras.

Slightly flawed, but they DO slow people down, no question.

Specs

Not new.. been around for years... flawed systems.. as discussed.

In my experience they're only in road works or areas where crashes are likely or very heavy traffic in built up areas like Nottingham ring road.
IE area where speeding can go wrong, badly, quickly.

"oh dear my front number plate keeps falling off" is my excuse unless they recategorise number plate offences to be endorsable!

Some of the new versions can read front or rear plates.

Current system is front only though, so awesome on a bike, lol

""It is understood that police trials of the new cameras have concluded successfully and further trials are due to start in Northern Ireland. The Home Office could approve the technology as early as January and the first fines could start flooding in next summer. ""

not a safety camera anymore if the first fines start flooding in????
yeh.... i sit with the fact they are there to earn a profit!!!!!!!!

thats a quote from the site.

we've had these for a while on the M1 around roadworks, motorway slows to 50mph around them, yes i agree in these areas, but 5 miles at 50mph nobody overtaking or being overtaken by you gets very very very very very tiresome, i often result to switching lanes a number of inconcievable times during these periods just to keep attention on the road!!!
not actually paying attention to that lone workman with his builders bum hanging over the barrier ready for my car to hit!!!
more like distracting it!
