i'm wanting to put my AP 330 kit on the back of my escos so i can put 6 pot 355's on the front, my problem being what do I do about the handbrake? i have heard that hydraulic handbrakes release pressure when the car is stationary and that the car can roll??? is this bollox or true as i know they are illegal for road use but i can get round that.
I've also heard about a seperate handbrake caliper similar to an RS200 one you can fit for the handbrake cable, i think turbosystems done this to an escos a while ago??
Also, finally, would i need to fit a bias valve or something because i'm fitting big brakes on the back?

Is 100% true, however the simple solution is if parking on uneven ground, put the car in-gear as well as handbrake. If you use just a hydraulic handbrake - don't expect to find the car where you left it
(hence why it is an MOT failure).

This is also correct, but I think you will now struggle to readily find this set-up. I have a hydraulic set-up like you mention (315s on the back / 378 on front) and just ensure that the car is in gear as well when parked anywhere. I did not want the extra weight of a mechanical set-up.

Absolutely 100%, as you can set the car up how you want it to brake (which is different wet / dry) to get the absolute best balance you can for the relevant conditions..

hey mike, do you tweak yours when going around the 'ring? (brake balance that is, not pull your cock off when rimming
) to get the best on the uphill or downhill braking areas, schumacher stylee. or just change it for wet/dry?

I just change it for wet or dry, I don't know the 'Ring well enough to start making adjustments to suit certain parts of the track (and my driving skill to warrant that is EXTREMELY lacking
).
).
the hydraulic conversion is poo imo as mike stated it is a pain imo get some handbrake calipers wilwood do them they can be spaced to 32mm and take upto 13" disc dont do the hydraulic conversion you will regret it especially if u live on a steep hill like me
and my drive is steep i have come out to find my car parked on the drivepost

Firstly ignore Gus, as he hasn't managed to figure out that he should be leaving a car in gear on a steep hill anyway
.

This is what is involved - a picture says a thousand words
. Martin at Reyland did mine (don't ask me to tell you how much, as i don't know, as I had a load of other stuff done at the same time). Obviously now it is all covered up by the centre console and the MOT man didn't even notice last time

you know whats its like though, you'd come in after lashing the car, screach to a halt and then get talikng to ya mates about how you've just lashed a porker GT2, lol, then all of a sudden ya car's rolling down the hill faster than you've just driven it
