We need a new family car and i quite fancy a Saab 9-5 Aero Hot Estate. Does anyone know anything about them, are they any good
I have a 9-5 SE 2.0t, nice enough car to drive around, not really a driver's car though - remember they are based on the vaux. omega chassis.
As long as you are not hoping for a dynamic drive and just need something to cruise up and down the motorway they are great - you get loadsa toys for your money compared to say a BMW.
Parts are expensive though, try £650 for a new throttle body, £150 for an ignition module which is known to fail regularly
Given the choice again, I probably would get a 2.5 mondeo - Ford through and through me...

There nice cars
I've had an 9-5 Aero, a few 9-3's and some of the older 900's and like Greg says there dear on parts and servicing @ main dealers. There great for swallowing up the miles in comfort. Residual wise, they tend a loose a bit more than BM's, mercs, etc even though there as well specced as them. I found them to be a bit heavy on fuel as well.
My last one was also ditch proof as well
