Default HELP!!!! OIL LEAK PROBS BIG STYLE

GOT AN OIL LEAK ON CAR, AM GOING TO HAVE A LOOK THIS WEEKEND
SOME HOW IT IS LEAKING INTO THE CAR AND OIL IS SITTING IN THE PASSEMGER SIDE FOOT WELL, CARPET ABSOLUTELY SOAKED, I DONT HAVE A CLUE HOW ITS GETTING THERE, HAS ANY ONE ELSE HAD THIS PROBLEM, STARTING TO GET REALLY ANNOYED WITH THIS CAR NOW, PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF YOUU HAVE ANY IDEAS. CHEERS

are you positive it's oil, just thinking it could be from the heater matrix which i think is roughly behind where the stereo is in the bulkhead on a s1. can't really see how oil would get in as nothing flows near enough, i think the closest thing is probably the oil filter, so maybe check that.

well... im just saying here, is it possible? That your coolant has mixed with oil from another fault on the car, and has leaked into the car from a leaking heater matrix?

As said above, can't see how oil could get there, the only other thing that makes the footwells wet is a knackered battery tray, and that would just be water.

i dunno, it is definately oil, i am thhinking that may be a pipe behind dash has split, i might go garage tomorrow cause aint workin, my heaters aint pllayin up or
ought on it neither.

a mate just said to me..... have u got an oil pressure gauge? pipe might be leaking.

thats it, i now know what it is, you aare a bloody god send mate, i have took it out n put it behind dash for a week whilst playin, pipe must of split. i owe you big time.

would have thought if it's bad enough to seep into the footwell then surely it would be visible when you look in the engine bay.there aren't any pipes that run hidden behind the engine bay that contain oil. at the rear think youv'e got the oil filter and cooler and turbo oil feed. other than those could be the sump gasket.

your right, i will still have a look in engine bay tomorrow, i had completely forgot about my oil pressure guage, cheers for that mate, last post, bloody nakered, cheers
