is there any way to do this easily on an ERST? I'm asking as mine is going into a bodyshop soon to get the engine bay done, but i'd didn't like the look of some of the wee spides about giving all "Is that one of o dem der turbos leek? does it have a dump vale?"
Oh my car is running the amal valve and not a bleed valve if that helps?

amal will still give low boost and enough for thm pikey lil shits to think its fast as fuck and go ramping the bollocks out if it.
lil fuckers like that at 90% of garages/bodyshops is why im always VERY careful where i take my car

in all honesty mate, i dont think they will drive it.
the company wouldnt due to legal reasons, insurance reasons and simply wouldnt want the risk of paying out damages as well as petrol/mileage etc

was setup a couple of months ago, by a guy called Ciaran Killen. I has always held similar boost, but when i first got the car it had a bleed valve which he removed. Only thing is i took the turbo off a while ago and i'm not too sure if i put the amal vile pies on the correct way. I've just been out and tried changing them about, but it makes no difference. Oh yes i am a numpty for messing with it
a few years ago 1 of my mates had his 4x4 cossie pas him @ about 100 mph on the motorway when he went in to confront the garage they said they were test driving it

ok went and had a look there, cant see C W or R makings on the amal valve? well i know the on to the metering head is right as it was never disconnected. The top hose goes to the turbo and the middle goes to the actator. That sound correct?

lol! maybe if i have a word with the owner - he's an older guy who seemed to know a bit about RS's he'll not let anyone drive it...
@might be because my car is only running 14psi that i dont notice any difference when i unplug the amal valve?

the difference between 14psi and with the amal unplugged should be more than noticeable!
if the amal clicks, its working
if it makes zero difference to the boost the car produces, i suspect that either the amal valve is shagged, or youve got it plumbed in thw wrong way round...
and daz... you coooooont

Jim, it EVER occur to you that the 14psi is set on the actuator and not the amal?
Uprated actuators are usualy 1bar spring
And trust me, customer cars get ragged a LOT by most companys workers given half a chance, i used to at Honda

the boost is set by the actuator
