As title need new rings for some pistons and wondered if anybody had used these total seal piston rings. They will be going into a cosworth engine. Just wondered what the pro and cons of them are and who actually sells them. Any info appreciated.

People have mixed results on them.

 

ive heard there a no no on a YB

 

i use them, works perfect in 8k km now.
No more wear then std

 

up for the night crew

 

maybe a question you might ask yourself is what is wrong with the standard rings?

 

Having the block bored so have sourced replacement pistons but was looking for replacement rings that may be better than standard thats all. Not a problem standard mahles it is.

 

When i had my cosie engne rebuilt the engine builder used them as he highly recomended them. I could tell you what it was like though casue i sold the car as a non runner
