Default Xr2 Turbo Technics Conversion....

My mate is selling a turbo technics conversion kit for the mk2 xr2, he says its just a bolt on kit, but does anyone know whether there was a compression plate with the kit or is it just a simple case of bolt on and away you go??!!???

depends which engine you are intending on using it on. the early 'hemi' CVH's had to have their pistons machined down to lower the comp. However the later lean burn's are fine to bolt straight onto - I used to run mine at 9.6 CR up to 11psi boost no problems (totally stock rebuilt XR2 engine with cheapo headgasket).

Obviously at a later stage you can then swap for RST components (pistons etc).

As aobe, Ive got a mate with a TT XR2, totally standard bottom end, literally just all bolted together. He ran a 14.6 with a blown T2 and leaking carb so not too bad!

just come across this on a search, but if interested, i've developed beyond my standard tt seup on my xr2 and you can run 14psi with a frst head gasket and carb setup right.
i ran mine at 13psi and it flew, after about 14psi (200bhp) you need to lower compression then.
hard as nails really, and easy to convert over to.
