we recently made a corrosion claim on our millenium focus,

we had it around 6 months(bought secondhand, its a 2000 car) and it had corrosion on the tail gate edge, and rear door,
i took it in just to see what they said, and they did a few paper work bits, and booked it in to be done....

the next week, free courtesy car, new tailgate, new door, free valet, no quibbles.

the car had done 160k, and all they mentioned was you can only claim once, and lucily ours hadnt been claimed on before.

great service tbh, and the focus is 12years...

When I worked for Vauxhall any corrosion issues that came in had their paint thicknesses checked...only take a second with the right tool...to determin if it had previous paint repairs done.

Pretty sure Ford's 'get out of jail free card' is that the car must have a full service history, and all the paintwork inspection stamps are there in the book!

If i'd have known that, they could have had my old focus, that would have kept the bodyshop occupied for a full month!
