As I was away all week with work, and needed to get my stuff out of my old house by the end of the month, my mum and best mate kindly agreed to fetch it during the week on my behalf.
I left them a list of everything to take, and my old housemate was there when they were round (didnt help though, lazy cunt )
So I rang home and asked my mum to list all my tools, which are the most expensive thing I have, and guess what, no Paslode!!!
I know it was there, i'm 100% sure. Its not at my mates house, its not in my mates van (he has the same one so could have accidentaly overlooked it) its not anywhere it should be and i know FULL WELL it was at my old house. I rang the lad and he said he knew nothing about it. I asked if i could go round to verify this and he said he just wants his keys back and became a little evasive. Its either still in the house, or he's sold it to pay for some coke, as he is a fucking waster with no job and a habit.

If its there, i'll go round and collect it, end of story. If i go round and its not there, then he's probably sold it. The trouble is, how do i prove he sold it? I know he has had it, its proving it.

I owe him NOTHING, my rent is paid up till the end of the month, so why has he done this?

Oh and if i let myself in, and do anything other than get my nail gun, he'll be straight on to the rozzers, same goes for giving him a kicking.

All I want is my nail gun back, there's no animosity towrds him from me, he's just turned into a grade A, leather lined, fur coated, ocean going CUNTfor no reason at all.

no help really but youll pick up a paslode for about Ł100 on ebay to replace it.
i picked one up still boxed and stickered as new with a makita jigsaw in the same condition for Ł70. maybe it was from your flatmate. are you missing a jigsaw as well?

It was my 2nd fix IM250A, which dont hurt. I could use my 1st fix one on him, got some ring shanks in it. they DO hurt

Does anyone know if the police would be able to help? It would just be my word against his on this one, he's bound to say I took it with me, or it was never there

without proof youd be struggling to get anywhere imo. id go with your plan A. a few will sited 90's fired into some strategic places. remember to use s/steel nails though, you dont want them to rust

surely if ur rent is paid till the end of the months theres a contractual agreement that u can come and go as u please , i dont know how the house was segregated or wether there were no go areas for both ur own privacy side of things , so unless u were not allowed in his room for example go and look around as ur entitled to if ur paid up, once ur out of ur paid time i can understand not bein allowed to look around , after all its ur home till end of the month

didnt have a contract, just a casual thing with a 'mate' for a few months. Never went in each others rooms (no reason to), shared the rest of the house.
Looks like ive not really got a leg to stand on legally, and of course i wont be doing anything illegal, not worth getting nicked for.
He might have some bad luck coming his way though, theres some pikeys moved on to the field opposite

I'm tempted to wait till he goes out, pop round and undo ALL the work ive done in the house since jan. Rip the lounge and bathroom ceilings down, and take all the doors off that i rehung, one of which is the back door

Nah i've calmed down about it now, i'll get my paslode one way or another, fair and square and above board. Its just a pain in the arse.

Change the locks when he goes out, then chuck the keys away. That'll bake his brain.

Borrow another nail gun, nail your room door from the inside, leave via window (by ladder if first floor) then nail up the window to make it secure.

Otherwise you don't know 100% it was him, you didn't collect the gear.
If you've paid rent and still have the keys, you have right of entry.
