Default Serious question about induction

Not a dig in peoples preferences but how much does an induction kit cause you in bhp terms if you have to fit one as matter of space or because you like the noise. The heat factor does play a part, but to what degree? I fitted one on the Beemer for a comparison and it sounded like a Ferrari, but noticed a significant difference in performance, without a cold feed I may add, but none the less it was rotten to drive especially over 80mph

James a good example is a Mk2 Golf fitted with a VR6 engine witch came along to a RR day at AVA. It lost 11BHP @ wheels. Or gained 11bhp when the aditional air duckt(additional fan) was fed directly to the Filter.

I know about the losses in the RST. Was shown an example at AVA, but wondered about what it accounts for in the real world (live map) and N/A cars. Stu, etc must know. The car felt low on power in higher gears, so the Cossie/RST boys that use them must feel a big hit power wise unless there is a fix?

the cold air feed that comes as part of the "kit" plays a HUGE difference...

you'll notice a significant increase when its fitted

doesnt it depend on all the pipework etc aswell?

as the 57i kit gives a replacement pipe etc that prob gives less pressure disturbances and the like

i may try change mine back on my zetec see what happens.
