Default Sports cat for a 1.8 Focus

On my focus the cat is starting to go and the mounts are rusting so obviously its going to be replaced ASAP. So I was thinking that along with a stainless system il replace the cat with a sports version to stop fooking around at MOT time. But at the money im struggling to find a price for one online, so has anyobody any suggestions as to where I can get one?

Car is a V reg, 1.8 Focus hatch BTW.

Cheers.

With a sports car there is no guarantee you will pass the MOT and there have been known failures with a sports cat before. In my opinion, go full stainless with a decat and switch to a normal cat come MOT time. Or just run a standard cat.

Some manifolds also decat the car too and manifolds work pretty well on the focus...

Yea ive heard an St170 manifold bolts on with a modification to the PAS pipe, but ive never actually seen how that is done. What companies are recommended/not recommended for a full system? I want a bit more power and a better exhaust note but I don't want to be waking the neighbours when I go to work in the morning

I HIGHLY recommend Piper for a full system. Mine sounds lovely and subtle pottering around and roars when giving it WOT. A very good compromise in my opinion between low bass burble when cruising and proper growl when booting it.
