hi has enybody fitted the mtx box in 2 there mk4 rst if so wot they like 2 do?

 

they are a lot of work to do very well, cut the inner wing, new drive shafts and other bits.

 

oddkidd has done this a few times with the mtx from the rs2k
you need cudtom gearbox mounts and mods as above plus something doing with the selectors rods unless you go for the late cable operated boxes these however use hydrolic clutches so that needs sorting too, i am going to fit a foucs rs box to mine which will suit the black top zetec turbo enine too. and comes with a ATB diff alot of work but will be worth it. Sitech racing uses a six speed st170 box on his zvh and reccomends that convrsion.

 

its ok im running a 1.8 zvh and im looking for the 250 plus brake mark and carnt b arsed 2 pay for a stage 2 box ive all ready got a rs2 box so just wondered if eny body had done 1 just in case i get stuck!!

 

know a bit about it basics are easy the hard bits are hard...

you need an odd clutch/flywheel set for this box block combo this link should help tho.
