As for any vehicle on the road they must have valid insurance. Phone the head office tonight and tell them what has happened. Notify your insurers as well to be on the safe side.

Ginge

Wait for Manager to ring you tmoz, they will prob give you the address details to send quotes for the damage to.

In all honestly they will prob want tp pay you out directly too, as its not worth their excess................ although they are a pretty big company so they may well self-insure anyway.

But yeah, providing you got the details of the van that did it, I wouldn't panic, you'll get ya money

I wouldnt have left it with manager, Id have stayed there until at least you got written proof that they accept what happened and are looking into it.

I worked at sainsburys as a student, some poor guy used the jet wash just after the chemicals were topped up. They werent diluted at all. Stripped the paint straight off his car. All he got was Ł150, which was his excess on his insurance to get a respray. I think he accepted it too! I wouldve gone fooking ape!

I have big problems with my insurance companies and always have done. I dont deal with them anymore, I just pay out myself and do the contacting other insurers myself (and bill them for the calls), only keep insurance in case of a big accident and tax. If they offer vouchers then as you shop there, why not accept? I would!

But you wont be using your insurance company to claim. So you dont need to quote it. The only reason they ask is it costs your insurance company time and money to defend you if you have an accident, but you do that for them and you do not need to quote it.

Tomorrow, go see the manager, dont wait for the call, she will have left work by 4pm knowing you will want a chat.

ignore the blonde then.

Ginge, get a quote and send them an invoice.

Had a similar instance years ago when a Citylink lorry hit a bridge and the debris ripped my tyre open on the motorway and fooked my alloy. Driver knew what he did and drove off. Rang their MD, shouted a lot, told them they had to pay for the damage and he told me to send them a quote and they would sort it out.

As I said before, chances are they self insure.

Aas long as you dont take the piss with the quote ie: make sure its not over-exaggerated then im sure you'll have no problems getting them to cough up.
