bit of an incident that i could use a bit of advice for...

Scenario

parked my car on the pavement of the road of my g/f house went into pick her up to go to the cinema last saturday.

collected her and proceeded to drive off but my path was blocked by a neighbour washing the roof of his car in the british summer rain at 6.30pm.

I opened the window and said 'you dont mind movin do you' his reply was 'go on the pavement you fucking cunt like your fucking usually do'... i'm sick of your fucking parkin were you like and fuckin starin at me!

I drove past him slowly and he moved to the side gently punching the drivers side of my car whilst 'shoutin fuckwit fuckwit bastard'

I got out and said what the prob etc and he claimed it was his road (cul de sac) i claimed it was a public road (which it is)

my girlfirend said oh lets go he's not worth it.. he replied 'oh shut up you fucking tramp'...

i told him to shhhh and calm down.

Dont you tell me to fuckin shhh sonny boy he replied smugley

he walked off casually to his car to continue washing it

we drove off

I have also found out that since then as i was driving off he threatened to knock my block off

Since then his wife has told me not to park on the pavement or she will phone the police their behaviour is unsettling and really riled me up.

There is nowhere else to park and i am parking with consideration to others even leaving a gap for fat people on the pavement (no yellow lines).

I have since found out this cretin works at our offices as a night security guard.

What can i do to stop him harrassing me?

You could always make some 'stuff' go missing from work, and suggest it's the security guards who took it!

 

Don't park on the pavement, it a footpath..

 

Either knock him out as you should have done,failing that,do not park on pavement

He sounds like a right twat, but I find it hard to beleive that there is nowhere else within walking distance of your girlfriends house where you could park which is actually legal rather than parking all over the footpath?

Why dont you ring the police first ,just to let them know he's threatend to knock your head off and he was punching your car, sounds abit wimpish i know but in the furture if it gets out of hand they will be more on your side

 

next time he's on the road 'accidentally' run him over then claim he stepped out in front of you without looking.

 

Sometimes people have no choice, if he's leaving enough room for FAT people and push chairs i cant see the problem

what i was intially going to do during the incident, but he didnt leave a mark on the car and the threat was heard by my g/f brother who stood by and did nothing bias

 

i would have told him to do one, then if he carried on with the abuse, lamped him then just to make him realise how serious you are bundle him in the boot and dump the mug in the middle of a field with a cable round his neck.

In reality i would just talk to the old bill just so they've got it on record incase he does anything else. Sounds like a total cock though

 

i felt that at the time and was ashamed... but knew the consequences

yes that sounds right ring the police and tell them u have had trouble with him and tell them details and they will be on your side more and i am sure if u leave space on the pavement for walkers it is ok to park there and if your not blocking the road too so police and emergeny services can get throught u will be fine so just call police and tell them matey

No specific offence of parking on the pavement and so long as you leave enough room so that pedestrians can pass, it is not an obstruction either. Next time he is abusive, I would report it to the police and insist that they have a word with him.

 

So im guessing this road cant fit two cars going in opposite directions? if so then i see your problem.
Dont your gfs parents have a drive way or isnt there a parking place for the residents?

 

Thats the correct way to go about it.

Dont try to play him at his own game because you will more than likely end up in as much trouble as he could be.

buy a really old car the dirt cheap make up a name and address for the V5 form then park said car outside there house and leave it there !!!

tbh if he was talking to me and my mrs like that i would have had a quiet word in his ear ! if you are not in the wrong, ie parking outside his property or blocking anything then hes obviously got a problem with you !

 

I only said this as ive had alot of bother from the guy over the rd from me, he has a company car and i have a company van, he hates anyone parking outside his house , one night i came home it was the only space left in the street so i had to park there ,as my cars are on the drive. Went inside half hour later i had this little hitler kicking my front door,i opened the door to see what it was and he jumped in my face screaming and shouting calling me a cunt,wanker etc. i stood there and said ....you got 10 secs to get off my drive or im going to knock you the fuck out. i have a temper and my gf knows i have a temper ,shes come running out asking him to go before i killed him
At the end of the day i would of knocked him out ,got nicked and he would of been laughing. if he did it again id just report him to the cops as i just cant be bothered with the hassle
